Dear colleagues, It's day 2 of Data Privacy Week and we're celebrating with the release of NIST Special Publication 800-53A, Revision 5, Assessing Security and Privacy Controls in Information Systems and Organizations! For the first time, privacy control assessment procedures are included and correspond with the newly created and updated privacy controls found in NIST SP 800-53, Revision 5. The assessment procedures are designed to provide a flexible starting point for control assessments and help security and privacy assessors verify whether controls are implemented correctly and achieving the desired security and privacy outcomes. The assessment procedures are available in multiple data formats, including PDF, comma-separated values (CSV), plain text, and Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL).
