Every action we take leaves a trail of information that could be recorded and stored for future use. This is more commonly known as a digital footprint. An example of this would be while being active on social media sites. Certain sites allow digital tracing data which could include what social group you are in, interests, location etc. This data is gathered and analyzed without users being aware.
