If you ask ME (and no, i know, you didnt) the Left wants to hasten the catastrophe which anybody can see coming by looking at a map: we do not HAVE to defend Ukraine, but we WILL be bound by treaty to go to war to protect its neighboring nations who are NATO members. The Left can not WAIT for that to happen—cuz in wartime, theres no limit to the civil liberties which can be curtailed! Why, Covid was just a dress rehearsal! .

And its possible, if we dont do much of anything now, that life in Ukraine will go on for mebbe another decade before we hafta do anything.

i dont know if Cenk heard, but Russia got a new constitution in 1993, complete with private land ownership, freedom of religion….and if their elections are somewhat suspect, well, they arent alone in that. Putin is very popular in the Crimea.

But the Left HATES peace 'n' prosperity; thats why they hate Trump. It NEEDS privation and rancor. And attacking Russia NOW, before we even are obligated to defend a treaty partner, is certain to engender widespread discomfort and discontent in our country.
