1. Explain what you think are some of the key differences between cyber security, cyber awareness and cyber safety. To what extent are you teaching these in the classroom or to what extend do you think they should be taught and why?

Cyber security, cyber awareness and cyber safety all sound like similar terms, however they all have very different meanings.

Cyber Security - Protecting networks, computers, programs and data from cyber attacks. It aims to protect against unauthorised exploitation of systems and networks.

Cyber Awareness - Building a level of understanding and being aware of cyber security and the threats our networks face from cyber attacks.

Cyber Safety - The safe and responsible use of information and communications when using technologies.

I believe that children should be taught about cyber security, cyber awareness and cyber safety from a young age. As children are using the internet from a very young age they need to be aware about cyber attacks and they need to know how to protect their information.
