News from the NIST Standards Services
Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program
Dear Colleagues,
Here are two opportunities you may be interested in:
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 2022 Student Paper Competition invites college/university students to explore the importance of – or identify an absence of/need for – standards that support health, safety, performance, efficiency, and/or innovation at the Olympic Games. Cash prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place entries that best communicate the impact of or need for specific voluntary consensus standards that support health/safety, innovation, and/or success for any aspect(s) – e.g., equipment, building/venues, IT, infrastructure, travel/accommodations, security, broadcasting, communications, and much more – of the 2021 summer or 2022 winter games. Visit ANSI.org for more information and official rules. The deadline to submit a paper is Wednesday, June 1. ANSI and the ANSI Student Paper Competition are not affiliated with NIST or the NIST Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program.
As a reminder, the NIST Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program is seeking applications from accredited institutions of higher education (IHEs) in the U.S. or its territories to develop undergraduate and/or graduate curricula to incorporate documentary standards, standards development, and standardization information and content into seminars, modules, courses, and learning resources. Eligible applicants may work individually or include proposed sub-awards or contracts with other U.S. colleges and universities, non-profits, and commercial organizations. Applicants are evaluated on their ability to meet criteria in four major categories: technical project approach and project execution plan; communication plan; qualifications and experience of key personnel; and resource availability. The deadline to submit an application for consideration is Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Applications must be submitted through GRANTS.GOV. More information about the program is available at https://www.nist.gov/standardsgov/nist-standards-services-curricula-development-cooperative-agreement-program.
