These vulnerabilities affect the Bluetooth device-sharing functionality, Raw Disk, and SCSI CD/DVD device emulation features of the vulnerable VMware products.

VMware has released security updates to address one critical and three important vulnerabilities in several products. These vulnerabilities affect the Bluetooth device-sharing functionality, Raw Disk, and SCSI CD/DVD device emulation features of the vulnerable VMware products.   An attacker may exploit these vulnerabilities to execute code, elevate privileges to gain root access, or read privileged information in hypervisor memory. The patches to address these vulnerabilities are released in VMSA-2023-0008. We strongly recommend applying the security updates at the earliest.   SanerNow detects these vulnerabilities.
