So Māori are colonisers? As they arrived by boat to uninhabited land they cannot be indigenous, if that means native by virtue of natural evolution. So Māori and Pākehās are colonialists.
So there are no indigenous people as such. Māori were here earlier, but did very little. Pākehās improved conditions immeasurably. However, Pākehās do not receive credit for that. Māori are lauded, but they were cannibals, slave owners, had no wheels, fought each other endlessly but are to be lauded! Bull Puckey!
