The 1969 double album was the last in the "Jazz in the Troc " series which started in 1966. The albums were sold at the Elitch Gardens in Denver but could be ordered by post. The Ten Greats of Jazz went on to become the World's Greatest Jazz Band under Yank Lawson's leadership. Thanks go to Dick Gibson a jazz fan who brought these top musicians to Denver and Jack Gurtler owner of the Elitch Gardens who decided that these Greats of Jazz should play at his amusement park ballroom. The exact personnel playing on this recording are not known - clearly Clancy was supported by a sub-set of the full band.
