As this blog shifts gears, perhaps its fitting to look back at the beginnings.
The blog was create on October 29, 2011. Daily posts did not begin until January 5, 2014.
And, as promised the next post was "Happy New Year", which was "a gentle start to this blog with a little nothing". <<link>>
The first post of all indicated that "Work will begin in January 2012."
A couple of posts later, I put up my first book review, an essay about "Reality is Broken" by Jane McGonical (2011). (It's an interesting book, still worth reading.)
Looking at these firs months of blogging, it is clear I was gradually learning how to do categories and tags and WordPress formatting. : - (
The next book review was Ed Belbruno, Fly Me To The Moon: An Insider's Guide to the New Science of Space Travel (2007). (A very interesting book, highly recommended.)
OK… enough.
I'm not going to step through the whole 4000+ posts!
The book reviews, at least, seem to hold up pretty well, even after more than a decade. So that's good.
I'll think about broader lessons learned for later this week.
