What's up, everyone? Today, we'll hear a quick Fund Launch Partners update from Lincoln Archibald, Co-Founder and CIO!
He has a podcast called, "Funds that Won," and he's trying right now to build a fund that will win!

What is FLP?
Fund Launch Partners is a GP stakes fund where we exchange a piece of their GP for our expert consulting and hands-on help.
There are so many amazing emerging managers out there that just need some help with their back-office infrastructure and could use some overall seasoned advice.
It will always take longer than you think to put together your fund.
We did our legal, put our investment committee together and our investment agreement.
We did our due dilligence structure and policy statements.
These all take so much time!
Who's Involved?
We did our initial close on March 6th, where we announced our partnership with 3 different firms!
They are a Utah VC, a Texas private credit, and an Arizona real estate PE firm!
This gave us some momentum, and we're using that as we fundraise in full force right now!
Lessons Learned
The biggest thing Lincoln has learned is...
"Good investors will always tell you what they need from you."
And you'll find good investors just by opening your mouth and talking to people!
Sit down with as many people as you can.
Some struggles:
- Many investors don't know what a GP stakes fund is, so it's hard for them to invest
- We have a complex investment thesis, which is sometimes hard to follow
- Raising capital is tough
Some wins:
- Our investment committee meetings are getting better and better
- We're finding more ways to evalutate and underwrite emerging managers
- Our unique fund comes with little competition
