The Graveyard of Broken Dreams
by Dawn Pisturino
I walked through the Graveyard of Broken Dreams:
Fleshless skeletons littered the ground,
Dried brittle by the beating sun.
Scattered pieces of shattered skulls
Crunched beneath my boots,
Paving my path through an endless landscape
Of empty rib cages entwined
In withered tendrils of dead ivy. . .
