Here's our latest Friday wrap-up of key news from the week.
This week we saw marketing begin for a rare terrorism risk catastrophe bond, as French co-reinsurance pool GAREAT looks for $100m of capital markets backed support.
Another new deal emerged, a debut cat bond for German company Talanx, as it looks for parametric Latin America earthquake protection.
In other cat bond market news, USAA successfully priced its latest ResRe cat bond to provide it an upsized $450m of reinsurance.
While NN Group also priced its new cat bond deal, securing its targeted €75m in protection from the Orange Capital deal, with pricing around 11% below the initial guidance mid-point.
There was also the eighth private cat bond of the year from the Eclipse Re structure.

We also reported that UCITS cat bond funds recently reached a new high in contributing 27% of the capital supporting the outstanding market.
In other news this week, potentially important news from Australia, as regulator the APRA said it wants to make it simpler for insurers there to access catastrophe bonds and ILS as reinsurance alternatives.
Senior execs from AIG said that hurricane Milton claims are coming in relatively light compared to similar storms, while the insurers CEO also said that attachments are likely to prove sticky at the 1/1 renewals.
We were first to report on a signficant increase in premiums ceded by Everest to its third-party capital structure Mt. Logan Re.
Enstar announced its second property ILS legacy deal, as it acquired a Bermuda collateralized reinsurer.
For the second month in a row, the ILS Advisers Index of ILS funds delivered its highest monthly return since inception.
