My daughter thinks that there are many businesses & creators out there providing high-value products & services that should ‘be viral’ but are not because they don’t know how to market. She’s right. I may be the quintessential example of this. I’ve published over 4,000 blog posts and that’s not including years of other social media content. I don’t care about ‘going viral,’ but I do want to find my ‘1,000 True Fans.’ I have more than 1,000 readers/followers, but I haven’t found my 1,000 True Fans, yet. Those two things are far from the same. Perhaps after reading The Icarus Deception by Seth Godin, the book that prompted me to begin all of this writing back in 2013, I should have read The Purple Cow next!
