Don't ask 'Is this snack good?' Instead, try thinking about snacks as 'primary, secondary, or tertiary.' Primary: A piece of whole fruit, cut vegetables, leftovers from a home-cooked meal, a handful of raw nuts, a homemade protein bar, etc. Secondary: A high quality store-bought protein bar, dried fruit or jerky; a roasted trail mix with some added salt, etc. Tertiary: A lower quality bar, a bag of potato chips, a pastry, etc. You can come up with your own examples and tiers. But the point is that NONE are bad and ALL are good ... to different degrees for different people. The question to ask is 'how much of this is good for me, and how often?’ You can join my nutrition & fitness Coaching Community here. Connect with me on: LinkedIn | Instagram | YouTube | X |
