Major reinsurers signal attachment, term stability | | | Major reinsurers signal stability on attachments and terms ahead of January renewals: Aon panel During a panel discussion convened yesterday afternoon by Aon following this year's RVS in Monte Carlo, executives from global reinsurers Everest Re, Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, and Mapfre Re have highlighted that attachment points and terms have held firm, and that they see little reason for this to change as the industry moves towards the key January 2026 reinsurance renewals. Senior executives Dieter Winkel, President of Liberty Mutual Reinsurance, Jill Beggs, EVP and COO of Reinsurance at Everest Re, and Miguel Rosa, CEO of Mapfre Re, all expressed an opinion that attachments and terms should not change meaningfully at the end of year renewals, perhaps offering a signal of reinsurer appetites that reads across positively for the ILS market as well.
