The formula for vitality - for being & feeling alive, healthy, young, strong, & fit - is not simple addition or subtraction. For example, if you ‘level down (-1)’ two things (for example, sleep and exercise) then your overall vitality might ‘go down’ by a factor of 10 or more … not two.
