If you’re a Gen-Xer like me then you’ll remember when you had to secretly pass your friend (like maybe your girlfriend or boyfriend) a paper note in school. To do so took effort; it had to be written out. It took risk; you might get caught, or, someone else might read it. It added excitement - it was cool to get a note from someone.
