It’s hard to do the hard work. We all struggle with this in some way. Me, you, and yes, even the people we admire the most. If you listen to the stories of the most successful people that you follow, for example, you’ll often hear them talk about how even after ‘they’ve made it’ to a certain level, new challenges always arise. For example, Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup For The Soul, has sold over 600 million copies of his books and had way more success that most of us would dare to dream of - and he still has work to do. A personal example from me is: I sometimes struggle to focus on more difficult projects that will grow my coaching business. Why? Because it’s easy for me to slip back into tasks that I’m comfortable with or really good at. This is no different than you, ordering takeout every night instead of meal prepping. Ordering takeout is a habit. Meal prepping is new, unfamiliar, and takes more effort. But here’s the thing about hard things: They are worth doing because they are hard.
