The reasons I sometimes eat an entire 5 OZ bag of Siete chips while watching Andor on my couch do not happen the moment I open the pantry. That’s what most people miss about cravings: ➔ Night cravings don’t start at night. They start long before that. Some are rooted in a lack of food or water during the day. Not mine; my nutrition is very consistent. Mine are tied to eating behavior patterns; old ones that I will never be free of, and new ones too. For example:
When I reach into that bag of chips, for these and other reasons, eating it makes me feel good. There’s nothing wrong with that … until it doesn’t. These are not the only reasons for cravings; they’re just a few of mine.
