Here's our latest Friday wrap-up of key news from the week.

This week we reported that Beazley's partner on its ILS fund platform venture in Bermuda is specialist investment manager Integral ILS.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) successfully arranged its first sovereign parametric catastrophe swap transaction.
Hannover Re continues to build-out its third-party capital manager platform in Bermuda, with Hannover Re Capital Partners now looking to broaden its investor base.
AM Best said in another pre-RVS report that reinsurance competitive pressures are expected to keep rising in 2027.
Willis Re announced that it is buying BMS Re US, including its Capital Adisory division.

In other stories this week, Vittorio Sangiorgio told us that Twelve Securis is expanding its presence across Asia, including a new partnership with reinsurer Korean Re.
Munich Re and Lloyd's have moved to the top of AM Best's global reinsurer rankings, based on 2025 results.
Fermat Capital Management launched a cat bond fund for investors in New Zealand, while we also reported on new hires in Asia and the establishment of an office in Japan.
Euler ILS Partners said that cat bond yields indicate normalised pricing, but said this is not a structural shift.
Brazilian reinsurer IRB (Re) has renamed its ILS entity in the country to align it with the brand, as IRB SSPE.
RenaissanceRe Capital Partners third-party capital and ILS assets under management rose to $8.54bn at the end of the first-half.
