Common Medicare scam tactics: unsolicited calls from "Medicare representatives," spoofed phone numbers appearing official, requests for Medicare numbers/personal information, pressure to provide payment/banking details, AI-generated voices mimicking government authority: Fraudsters claiming to verify coverage, offer free equipment, discuss plan changes, or notify of benefit modifications — many seniors fall for scams believing they're speaking with legitimate government agencies — seniors unfamiliar with technology particularly vulnerable to sophisticated spoofing/AI voice technology.
