Amy Winterowd, Vice President of Client Solutions at JE Dunn Construction, has been recognized by Marquis Who's Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction management and administration.
For over two decades, Ms. Winterowd has found much success as a versatile, accomplished project management and business development and marketing professional with experience in facilitation, client relationship building and maintenance, business development, marketing, public relations and leading strategic initiatives for globally practicing firms.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies in 1999 from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, Ms. Winterowd excelled as a project administrator with Spieker Properties from 1999 to 2001 and subsequently as associate principal of business development and marketing with Yost Grube Hall Architecture from 2001 to 2016. She then prospered as principal with PlanB Consultancy, Inc. from 2016 to 2018 and since the latter year as vice president of client solutions with JE Dunn Construction, an industry leader in the application of preconstruction technology, virtual design and construction and other emerging construction technologies.
A member of the Society for College and University Planning and a past member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, Ms. Winterowd has garnered numerous industry honors that include a Woman of Influence award from the Portland Business Journal in 2021 and a Woman of Vision Award from the Daily Journal of Commerce in 2017. In 2006 she published "Design-Build: A Smart Solution for Higher Education" for the Design Build Institute of America. Avidly interested in industry and community affairs, her volunteer work includes membership on the Executive Leadership Team for the Heart Walk of Oregon sponsored by the American Heart Association. In addition, Ms. Winterowd has served on the board of directors and advisory council for Design Museum Portland.
Attributing her success to working on her goals, coming up with the best strategies, and her ability to listen, Ms. Winterowd cites growing the companies for which she is employed and diversifying their portfolios as a career highlight, such as assisting Grube Hall Architecture acquire a contract with the United States Department of State. Additionally, she is most proud of her recognition a Woman of Influence by the Portland Business Journal. In the coming years, she would like to be a chief operating officer or alternatively, opening her own business.
