A group known as Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies, PSNAFSA, has urged President Bola Tinubu, to keep to his promise of defending the nation from all forms of criminality.
President Tinubu was sworn in as the sixteenth President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola.
Tinubu was one-time Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, one-time Lagos State Governor, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress.
Convener of Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies, PSNAFSA, Mary Abayomi-Fatile, made the plea in Abuja, while congratulating the new president.
She hoped that the inauguration of the administration will bring hope, optimism and relief from the near-hell hardships most Nigerians have been going through.
In her words, it is also gladdening to note that security was highlighted as the top priority of the administration, in the inaugural speech of President Tinubu.
According to Abayomi-Fatile, the plea became imperative because terror and all forms of criminality had threaten the nations peace and stability to the latter by giving the Police, Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security agencies maximum support to effectively subdue terrorists that have plagued the country and reduced the worth of human life abysmally.
Abayomi-Fatile also urged the new administration to make the welfare of the security personnel a top priority.
She noted that the welfare of security personnel should be considered a top priority, especially the plight of widows and children of personnel who paid the supreme price, and the condition of dilapidated barracks which affects the morale and efficiency of the foot soldiers.
While congratulating the new government, Abayomi-Fatile expressed optimism that it will bring hope and relief hardship most Nigerians have been going through.
The Convener said Nigerians were eagerly looking forward to a holistic reform of the security architecture under the watch of President Tinubu, that will address the current multi-facet security challenges, translating to an improved socio-economic development of Nigeria and reposition Nigeria to its place as the pride of the African continent.
