Her asparagus were drowning so deeply in oil that I could see it reflecting even in the dim lights of the pub from 12 feet away. Kudos to her for getting a full serving of vegetables in while eating out. But she could have eaten about 500 fewer calories at that meal simply by ordering those asparagus grilled ‘without, or with very little’ oil.
