The 1st question I ask every new client is: “In your own words, tell me, why are we having this conversation today?” I ask that even if they have filled out an intake form with the same question. Why? Because ‘Why?’ is important. Because hearing someone tell their story; the way they tell it, the emotions they convey, is important. It helps me help you in the best possible way. And it helps for both of us to remember, when things get tough, what we want to keep moving forward. I know Why I do this work and Why I write this blog: It’s because I believe that you, no matter how unhealthy you might feel right now, can change that.
