“If it’s gonna take time for me to eat healthy, then I’m not going to do it.” That’s an actual statement from a real person, and, I get it. Just the idea of changing your routine; shopping differently, cooking differently, and in general adding more time & effort (which means some pain) to an already busy and stressful life can feel scary, like something you definitely want to avoid or not deal with. I’ve been there - in the worst possible way. There was a time that you could NOT convince me that taking better care of myself was worth it. I was stuck there for a long time … until the pain of being where I was ended up outweighing the pain of making change. Sometimes, we need to feel more pain in order to tip the balance of the scales of action. So, until you’re ready, then, you’re not. I understand. I’m just here to make the other side of the scale - the side that requires taking action - less painful. And good news: it doesn’t have to be very painful at all.
