| Follow 'food rules' and sooner or later, you'll break them.
There are almost zero rules that you need to follow all the time.
Heck, I've been gluten-free for TWENTY YEARS and I don't consider that a 'rule'.
(In fact I recently tried some fermented sourdough bread with gluten as a test.)
Most 'food rules' I hear about either:
- Make sense sometimes, but not all the time; - Don't make sense at all, or; - Are dangerous.
Not only that, you set yourself up with the constant 'pass/fail, good/bad, unbroken/broken' mentality to, at some point feel:
- Like you've done something bad - Like you have failed or are a failure - Like you are broken.
One 'rule' I can state with certainty is that you are NOT bad, a failure, or broken.
You just need some help.
