Many of you have gained 5 pounds this summer; possibly more. That’s OK! Having a social life is healthy. Here are my top 3 steps to help you lose weight this month - without a diet: (1) Plan AheadThis is the most basic, underestimated, unlikely to go viral thing to talk about. It is also the most effective. It can’t be that simple, can it? Yes, it can: If you plan & prepare your food well you will lose fat. ‘But Matt, exactly how should I do this?’ I’ve published many newsletters, guides, & videos about nutrition planning. You will leave with everything you need to lose that summer weight. (2) Balance Your CaloriesThis not ‘just eat less.’ However if you are in a weekly caloric surplus, you will not lose weight. So you need to be in a 10-20% caloric deficit, an average, for a few weeks. You could track your calories but that’s not the only way to nail this. Another way is to adjust what you order when you’re eating out. Another way is to practice time restricted eating. Another way is too … (3) Eat More!Eat more fruits & vegetables, that is. It’s almost impossible to overeat them; I dare you to try! Adding more of these will make you feel more full & lower your total calories. A good target = 2 fruits + 2 vegetables per day. Steps 4, 5, & 6?You don’t need more instructions to lose that summer weight. Just get really good at steps 1, 2, & 3.
