Something we are often mistaken about: The belief that our future self will have the motivation to do what we don’t feel like doing today. This is a psychological trap! Your future self is no more likely at all to feel like ‘going for a run’ (or, insert whatever health-improving action you’ve been putting off here) than your current self. If anything, he or she may be less likely to do so than your current self. The way out of this trap is to take an action - even if that’s one small action - today. ⚡️ Coach Matt |
