I stopped eating late at night and here’s why: If you make no other changes to your diet and lifestyle at all, and continue to eat all of the same foods, even if they’re kind of crappy in general, stopping eating those foods 3-4 hours before bedtime will return on your investment threefold: (1) You’ll sleep better, and sleep is fundamental to every other area of health. (2) You’ll probably lose some body fat just from doing this, because you’ll give your body a chance to digest. (3) Making zero other changes, once #1 & #2 go into effect, you’ll be much more likely to consider making more changes. So yeah, there are many other important things, and this is not a ‘magic wand’, but it’s a big one. One more thing: I do NOT adhere to this at the cost of my family or social life. An occasional late meal to enjoy your life is fine. This is just my default when possible. Men’s Group • LinkedIn • Instagram • X |
