When the  Council was created in 2006, the goal was to create a forum for the ongoing development, enhancement, and implementation of security standards for account data protection. PCI SSC Announces 2026–2028 Global Executive Assessor Roundtable
Today the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) announced the 2026-2028 PCI SSC Global Executive Assessor Roundtable (GEAR). The Roundtable is an advisory board comprised of senior executives from PCI SSC assessor companies. The 2026-2028 GEAR consists of 33 organizations.

PCI SSC works with organizations around the world to help secure payment data, and trains and qualifies thousands of assessors each year that help ensure the correct adoption and implementation of the PCI security standards.

Bring PCI SSC Training to Your Organization
PCI SSC has launched its Training Venue Host Program, creating a new way for organizations with suitable training facilities to support payment security education while bringing industry training directly to their teams. Through the program, organizations can apply to serve as volunteer training locations (“Hosts”) for PCI SSC training events. PCI SSC manages the planning, marketing, registration, and delivery of each class, while Host venues provide the training space and related amenities.
