A fast food meal from Wendy’s, a patriotic beer from Samuel Adams, an at-home non-invasive colon screening from Cologuard, some Dove Men’s Bodywash to make me smell like a model, and a Capital One credit card. Supposedly, these are the things that men who watch sports want to buy. Maybe. But I don’t buy it. I don’t believe those are the only kinds of things that men want. I believe that men want to look and feel great. I believe that men want to be strong in body and mind. I believe that men want to be inspiring leaders and leave legacies. If you believe those things too, but aren’t sure where to start, hit reply, and we can chat. Connect with me: LinkedIn | Instagram | YouTube | X | Coaching Community |

You're missing a few foods.
There are 1200 subscribers to this newsletter. Are you 1 of the 120 who eat a wide variety of foods? Yes, that’s correct: my guess is that 90% of you do not. But, doing so can help you:
One of the reasons why is: Caloric DensitySome foods have more or less calories by weight compared to other foods. You can use this knowledge to your advantage. In part, it’s common knowledge. Some foods ‘feel heavy or light’. If you’re eating higher density foods too often, this may be keeping your average caloric intake too high. I explain this a bit more in this 3:34 video. The bottom line? For most people, a bit more variety is best.I don’t want you to obsess about how many calories are in each food. I do want you to be aware of 2-3 foods that you don’t eat, but might light to try more often, and take it from there. If you want to see the Google Sheet of The 100 Most Commonly Eaten Foods Sorted By Caloric Density just reply or comment below, and I’ll send you the link. © 2025 Matthew Fried |
