Shows ability to deliver for investors: Neal In 2024, the Lloyd's market delivered positive returns across both underwriting and investments resulting in a 21% return-on-capital, despite a more than doubling of the major claims ratio during the year. Also of note for the ILS market and investors interested in accessing insurance and reinsurance opportunities, ILS manager Nephila Capital's two Lloyd's syndicates published reports for 2024 today. Nephila Capital's Syndicate 2357 at Lloyd's underwrote an impressive 41% more in gross premiums in 2024. Nephila Capital's specialty lines focused Syndicate 2358 underwrote 84% more in gross premiums, but its results were affected by losses due to the Baltimore Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. Finally, during a media call today, Lloyd's Deputy CFO Alexandra Cliff explained that the pipeline for the London Bridge ILS platform remains healthy, highlighting traction gained in 2024 and recent cat bond issues.
