The final few 144A cat bonds of 2025 all priced this week. Our charts are up to date with deals settled so far. Once the final deals settle early next week the charts will reflect full-year data. View our cat bond market charts and visualisations here. Chubb secured the first annual aggregate cyber catastrophe bond this week, a $150m East Lane issuance. QBE upsized its new Bridge Street cat bond to provide it $400m of protection. Germania Insurance secured the targeted $100m of multi-peril catastrophe reinsurance from its debut Handshake Re cat bond. The Meritage Re cat bond was finalised to provide GeoVera and Safeport $200m of reinsurance. Cincinnati Insurance also finalised its new Skyline Re II cat bond to provide it $150m of protection. In other stories this week, KBW analysts said property cat rate declines at the renewals will likely approach 20%. Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Advisors Corporation (SRILIAC) will start 2026 with a new CEO, as Leigh Weissman is being promoted to the position. Al Wathba Insurance became the first UAE insurer to access Lloyd's using its London Bridge 2 PCC vehicle. Cahal Doris, CIO Private ILS at Twelve Securis, told us technical discipline is expected to persist in the market. Plenum Investments said its two flagship CAT bond funds have achieved a total combined volume of over $1.1 billion. We saw a first tranche of securitized sidecar notes for 2026 from MS Amlin's Phoenix 2 Re Pte. vehicle in Singapore. Analysts at J.P. Morgan highlighted the importance of holding firm on attachments at the renewals. Howden Capital Markets & Advisory executives told us that they expect 2026 will see further cat bond market expansion and attractive opportunities in private ILS.
