As I trained outside in the cold yesterday, fingers & toes almost numb, I thought of Victor Frankl. He wrote ‘Man’s Search For Meaning’, a book that I’ve read about 4-5 times. Many of the things we see as difficult, like training in the cold for less than one hour, are not that difficult at all. Yes, we do all have real and difficult things to deal with. But when we have a glimpse of what the men, women, & children in that book went through, 80-90% of the smaller things that we resist suddenly become more approachable.
