You don’t ‘have the time’ to workout. Neither do I. This Saturday I slept a little late (for me) - until ~6 AM. I did my morning meditation with the plan to exercise before our family plans at 1 PM. Thinking that I had plenty of time, I proceeded to do my typical weekend batch cooking session first. But then I had to deal with something for work, which pushed the training back. No problem yet - I still ‘had time’. The project completed, now my wife & kids were all up and about, and that means attention was needed for them: All good, important things that are high priorities:
With those things done, I still ‘had time’ … it was ~11:45, but 1 PM was approaching fast … … and then I chose to bake with my daughter … because it was the higher priority … and because we ‘had the time’. In the moment I chose to do the baking, I surrendered (happily & willingly) to the fact that I probably wouldn’t get to do a full training session for the day. But then something happened. The cookies were in the oven, the kitchen was clean, and there were still 20 minutes to spare. I quickly did 60 pull-ups, 60 dips, & 120 squats, split into 6 rounds in under 20 minutes. Showered & made our plans on time. Not because I ‘had the time’ … … because I made the time. You see, you NEVER ‘have’ time. It’s not a physical thing you can possess or hold. But you can always make it.
